When You Play Hard, You Pay Hard; Unless You Have THIS in Your Medicine Cabinet!

Injury at jogging/exercise.

(DGIwire) — Every once in awhile a product comes along that makes one wonder: Will the promise of the product be delivered? Such skepticism arose when a tube of  Arnicare Gel by Boiron, arrived at ReviewLoft. As we discussed who would test its validity, it came down to a hockey mom, a football mom and a skateboard mom. Ultimately the skateboarder’s mom earned the chance to review it after she showed the rest of the staff some photos of her son’s most recent bruises. The hockey mom and the football mom retreated to their corners while silently praying that their kids never took up skateboarding.

As fate would have it, the budding Tony Hawk was on his way to a learning-intensive skateboarding camp in Pennsylvania. Woodward, known for it’s “second-to-none” boarding program, is staffed with some of the best instructors from around the country. Skaters are challenged to push themselves to the next level, often seeing improvements in one week that would normally take months to accomplish. Coming home sore is expected. So, for our test, a tube of Arnicare Gel was packed, amidst the pads and band-aids along with instructions on how to use the product properly.

At the end of the week pick-up, our reviewer retrieved her son fully expecting him to be sore and tired, as he had been in years past. Au contraire. She had forgotten about the Arnicare Gel: He had been rubbing it into his overworked and strained muscles. He also applied it to bruises and he said the difference was noticeable. He actually commented that he was the least bruised up boarder and feared that the staff would think he wasn’t working hard enough! At one point when the campers were all comparing battle wounds, he actually left the area because his battle wounds paled in comparison.

Wanting to experience what her son described first hand, our reviewer applied Arnicare to her arms and shoulders after a first-of-the-season kayak ride. Applied immediately at the first sign of soreness, the next day she woke up with no pain whatsoever.

The active ingredient in Arnicare Gel is “Arnica Montana.” Turns out that this stuff has been around and used medicinally for over 200 years. Now manufactured by Boiron, Arnicare Gel is available for purchase at CVS, Rite Aid, Walgreens, Wal-Mart, Target, Whole Foods, The Vitamin Shoppe and most convenient of all at https://shop.boironusa.com/medicine/arnicare-gel/. It’s unscented, non-greasy, paraben-free and quickly absorbed by the skin so it’s safe and easy to use at the first sign of muscle pain or bruising anywhere on the body.

Yes, we may have fought over who was going to review it, but now all of us at ReviewLoft have our own supply of Arnicare Gel.

ReviewLoft received one complimentary tube of Arnica Gel. No other compensation was received.
